The administration of US President Joe Biden believes that three battalions of the Israel Defense Forces have committed "gross human rights violations" against Palestinians in the West Bank but will remain elIsrael'sor US military aid, ABC News reports.
ABC News notes that official information on the decision not to impose sanctions on the Netzah Yehuda Battalion has not yet been made public. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken shared the assessment in a letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson, obtained by ABC News. The date of this document is not specified.
"The US decision will not delay the delivery of any US assistance and Israel will be able to receive the full amount appropriated by Congress," the letter states.
