According to data presented in the Bundestag, in 2023, Israel increased arms purchases from Germany tenfold compared to the previous year. Amid the Operation Swords of Iron, Israeli purchases in Berlin amounted to 323 million euros.

However, Israel is not among the major consumers of German defense products. In 2023, Ukraine was the largest client of German defense conglomerates, with purchases totaling 4.1 billion euros.

Other significant consumers include Norway (1.1 billion euros), Hungary (1 billion euros), the United Kingdom (655 million euros), and the United States (545 million euros).

Germany is also a significant customer of the Israeli defense industry. Just this year, a deal was signed for Germany to purchase exoatmospheric hypersonic anti-ballistic missile Arrow 3 from Israel for 4 billion euros.
