The Turkish government has made a significant decision by removing Israel from its list of target export markets. This essentially means that Ankara will no longer support businesses engaging in trade with Israel.

As reported by Ekonomim.com, the exclusion of five countries from the list of target export countries for 2024 includes Israel, along with Iraq, Mozambique, Congo, and Sudan.

The list of countries encouraged for trade comprises 56 nations. Notably, this year saw the addition of Bangladesh, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Algeria, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Tunisia, Oman, and Jordan.

Mako, an Israeli publication, highlights that this move sends a clear "message" to Turkish entrepreneurs: any challenges encountered in trading with Israel may not receive state assistance.
