Since the start of the war, the state has evacuated 61,000 residents from settlements near the Lebanese border.
Of these, 23,000 residents were evacuated from Kiryat Shmona, 27,000 from settlements within 2 kilometers of the border, and 11,000 from settlements within 3.5 kilometers of the border.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the current cost of evacuation, not including compensation for businesses and property damage, is 2.3 billion shekels.
