Official data released in Baku reveals that in January 2024, Israel emerged as the top buyer of Azerbaijani oil, purchasing 523.5 thousand tons of oil, valued at $297 million.

Following Israel, Thailand secured the second position by purchasing 189 thousand tons of oil from Azerbaijan, while Italy ranked third with 179.2 thousand tons of oil.

Interestingly, data from 2023 indicates that Israel was the second-largest importer of Azerbaijani oil.

It's worth noting that Israel receives Azerbaijani oil through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, facilitated by the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
