Israeli power engineers study Ukrainian experience to prepare for Hezbollah strikes: Kan-11
Energy Minister Eli Cohen convened a meeting to discuss the potential for a large-scale power outage in Israel.
The scenario under consideration involves up to 60% of residential buildings losing power as a result of conflict with the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah.
According to Kan-11 correspondent Amitay Stein, participants concluded that while such a scenario is unlikely, there remains a risk of prolonged power outages lasting up to two days.
To mitigate these risks, the electric company has acquired a significant quantity of coal and other energy resources. Additionally, drills have been conducted with private electricity producers.
Israeli specialists have also engaged in consultations with Ukrainian power engineers to learn from their experiences managing electrical facilities during Russian attacks.
