Food prices in Gaza halve following elimination of Hamas 'regulators', Ma'ariv reports
Recent social media monitoring indicates a significant decrease in food prices across the Gaza Strip's markets, with reductions of 50% or more reported in the last few days, according to Maariv newspaper.
The availability of goods has also notably increased. For example, the price of a kilogram of sugar has dropped from 70 shekels to 20 shekels.
Users active in relevant social media discussions have observed that these price reductions and increased availability of goods came after a series of strikes by the IDF.
These strikes reportedly targeted the Hamas "emergency committee," responsible for controlling the distribution of humanitarian aid, effectively dismantling its chain of command.
