Google announces further layoffs after anti-Israel protest
Google announced the completion of an investigation into anti-Israel activities at its headquarters in New York, Seattle, and California. The company acknowledged additional layoffs but did not specify the exact number.
The group responsible for the protest, No Tech for Apartheid, claims that a total of 50 workers were laid off.
The terminated employees had demanded that Google terminate its contract with Israel for the construction of cloud farms, known as the Nimbus project.
Additionally, they staged a blockade at the office of the director of Google's cloud department for several hours.
