Ben Gurion Airport to reopen low-cost terminal on May 27
Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport, which ceased operations in October 2023 due to the war and the withdrawal of many airlines from Israel, will resume operations on May 27.
Initially, it will handle only domestic flights, with international low-cost carriers beginning operations from June 2.
Budget airlines like Ryanair have advocated for the reopening of the terminal due to significantly lower airport fees compared to Terminal 3.
According to the airport authority, Terminal 1 is expected to handle 1,200 flights by the end of summer, with an anticipated monthly passenger traffic of 200,000 people.
