UNRWA disappointed by low funding at donor conference

Lebanese newspaper El-Nashra reports that the leadership of the UNRWA aid agency for Palestinian refugees is disappointed with the results of the recent donor conference.

According to the publication, of the $880 million budget for 2024, the agency managed to secure only 56%. For the requested emergency budget of $1.21 billion for Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, only 16% was received. Additionally, of the emergency budget of $415.4 million for Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon, only 15% was secured.
