On Tuesday, January 9, television channel Kan-11 reported that the Ministry of Health had instructed northern hospitals to prepare for a potential influx of thousands of wounded individuals.

Ziv Hospital in Safed and the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariyya were specifically advised to stock up on medicines, equipment, and food in case of isolation.

Health Ministry Director Moshe Bar Siman Tov urged hospitals to be ready for emergency mode within 24 hours, involving potential relocation to protected premises, discharge of non-emergency patients, and readiness to receive the wounded.

Hospitals in the north must maintain 50 percent occupancy levels in air-raid shelters to treat the wounded promptly. The Ministry of Health is also anticipating a potential shortage of hospital staff due to injuries or doctors being called to the front, with plans to summon doctors from abroad, as around seven thousand Jewish doctors living abroad have expressed their willingness to help Israel if needed.
