An extraordinary birth took place at Adasa Hospital in Jerusalem on Sunday, March 10.
What makes this baby unique is not only that his mother is 57 years old and his father is 88, but also that he is the first son of the couple despite being their eighth child.
According to Mako News, the baby was delivered in the 39th week of her pregnancy, despite the risks. The mother insisted on a natural birth, and her request was granted.
Dr. Alon Kabiri, head of the high-risk pregnancy department at Adasa Hospital, has called this case the most unusual in his practice.
He noted his surprise upon meeting the expectant mother and her uncommon decision to pursue a natural birth despite the risks involved.
Hospital staff also shared that the 88-year-old father was overjoyed when he held his son for the first time.
