21% of IDF disabled personnel struggle with PTSD, mental health issues
The Department of Defense's Victim Rehabilitation Division reports that out of the 64,000 disabled IDF personnel under its care, approximately 8,000 are affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Ministry of Defense representatives highlight that in the five months since October 7, 6,400 new victims have sought assistance from the relief and rehabilitation department, a surge unprecedented in Israel's history.
21% of these victims sustained head injuries or developed psychological and mental disorders due to their experiences.
