During the ground operation in the southern part of Gaza City, fighters from the Yiftach Brigade cornered terrorists in the building which serves as Hamas headquarters in the Issa area. An IDF Air Force fighter jet attacked the location.
Meanwhile, the Yiftach Brigade observers identified a group of armed terrorists who were attempting to attack Israeli soldiers in the Issa area. They were eliminated by sniper fire. Terrorist infrastructures were identified and destroyed, including buildings used by Hamas as military facilities in the area.
In the Bakshi area south of Gaza City, fighters from the 179th Brigade discovered an arms depot in a kindergarten. Among other items, dozens of mortar shells and anti-tank rockets were found in toy boxes.
In Gaza City, members of the 14th Brigade identified an armed terrorist group and communicated the information to the IDF Air Force which eliminated the terrorists. Three more terrorists who fired at Israeli soldiers on the outskirts of Shati were also neutralized by the Israeli Air Force.
