Hezbollah member of the Lebanese parliament, Nawaf al-Musawi, explained on Al-Manar TV channel, owned by Hezbollah, why Lebanese Shiites did not join the hostilities waged by Hamas.
“We asked our brothers in Gaza how to help them. If we start a full-scale war in Lebanon, will this stop the fighting in Gaza? We were told that no, the war will not stop until Hamas wins,” the terrorist spokesman was quoted by The Jerusalem Post .
Earlier, Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, said that the “Party of Allah” is helping Hamas by pinning down Israeli divisions on the Lebanese border. The group is engaged in low-intensity fighting; its losses since the beginning of the campaign have exceeded 120 people.
