Interior Minister Moshe Arbel has notified the government's legal counsel of his decision to revoke the residency status in Israel of Hamas activist Majed Rajab Ashur Juabe. Juabe, residing near Jerusalem, holds a senior position within Hamas and is actively operating in the Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria regions.
"According to the recommendations of the commission and the professional opinion of security service representatives, for the past 24 years since the early 2000s, this individual has held a senior position in Hamas. Their leadership role significantly influences Hamas's positions at all levels in the Judea and Samaria regions, as well as Jerusalem. In recent years, this role has extended to the 'Al-Aqsa Youth' organization operating in Jerusalem and its surrounding areas," stated in the letter from the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
