The Israeli police arrested a 35-year-old disabled man from southern Israel on suspicion of hanging a severed donkey's head in a Muslim cemetery near the Old City of Jerusalem.

The police received information about the incident from witnesses. Upon arriving at the scene, they located the suspect within a few minutes, who was carrying an axe.

He was detained on suspicion of animal cruelty and disturbing public order. His alleged accomplice, who brought the suspect to the crime scene, was also arrested, and authorities are clarifying his involvement in the case.
