The IDF continues its operations in Judea and Samaria to prevent new terrorist attacks and apprehend or neutralize members of terrorist organizations.
Sources in the Palestinian Authority report that Israeli military forces operated on the night of January 1 in the western part of Shechem and in Beit Iba (west of Shechem), in Kafr Ein and Al-Bireh (near Ramallah), in Beit 'Amra (north of Hebron), and in the village of Barta'a, located on the PA border west of Jenin.
There've been armed clashes, but no casualties have been reported. Several individuals suspected of terrorism have been detained, but the exact number is unknown at the moment.
As of now, the IDF has not commented on the events in Judea and Samaria that occurred on the night of January 1.
