The IDF has reported the death of another soldier during combat operations in the Gaza Strip.
Sgt.-Maj. Miron Moshe Gersh, 21, from Petah Tikva, was a fighter in the Combat Engineering Corps' Yahalom Unit. He was killed in action in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
From October 31 to January 3, 175 IDF soldiers were killed during ground operations in Gaza.
During Operation Swords of Iron, which started after the terrorist attack on October 7, 509 IDF soldiers have been killed.
