Gaza Health Ministry: Over 22,400 killed since start of war in the Strip

The Hamas-led Health Ministry in Gaza announced on January 4 that a total of 22,438 individuals have lost their lives and 57,600 sustained injuries in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of hostilities on October 7.

This information is unverifiable independently. Due to the large number of fatalities, burials often took place in mass graves.

As per reports from the Hamas-led health ministry, 125 residents died in Gaza in the past day alone, with the number of wounded increasing by over 300.

The World Health Organization has reiterated that it cannot confirm or refute the accuracy of casualty data provided by the Gaza Health Ministry.
