The IDF reports that military operations continued in the Gaza Strip overnight on January 5 in the areas of Al-Bureij and Khan Yunis. Several militant groups and firing positions were eliminated.
The IDF states that over the past day, more than 100 terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip, including military headquarters and weapon depots, were attacked from the air, sea, and land.
Fighters from the 414th Nesher Field Intelligence Battalion operated in Al-Bureij. After a group of militants attempted to attack a tank, pursuit with drones followed. Eventually, the IDF Air Force attacked the building where the militants were hiding.
In the Khan Yunis area, fighters from the 4th Brigade identified launcher positions used for firing at Israeli territory. The launchers and militants were destroyed.
