The IDF continues operations in Judea and Samaria aimed at preventing new terrorist attacks and apprehending or neutralizing members of terrorist organizations.

Sources in the Palestinian Authority report that Israeli military forces operated in Nablus, Bani Na'im, Dura (near Hebron), and Beit Rima (near Ramallah) on the night of January 5th.

During the operation in Beit Rima, a teenager was shot and killed by Israeli military forces. According to published videos, a group of young men was preparing for clashes with the military. No weapons are seen in the video. As a result of the shooting, one individual from this group was killed, and two others were injured.

IDF forces operated in Balata, on the eastern outskirts of Nablus, during the night. There were reports of exchanges of fire and explosions. The IDF deployed heavy engineering equipment. There are reports of injuries on the Palestinian side. Local militants claim to have successfully attacked Israeli military personnel. Early in the morning, the IDF finished the operation in Balata.

Several suspects linked to terrorism have been detained.

The IDF has not yet commented on the events in Judea and Samaria on the night of January 5th.
