14th Reserve Armored Brigade and elite Yahalom combat engineering unit targeted terrorist infrastructure. Seven tunnels located beneath the Blue Beach Resort on the coast of the northern Gaza Strip were destroyed. Terrorists used the hotel as a hideout and a rocket-launching site.
Within the tunnels, IDF soldiers found a significant amount of weapons, explosives, and drones. During the clashes, dozens of Hamas terrorists barricaded themselves inside the hotel, firing anti-tank rockets at the IDF forces. Israeli troops returned fire.
Additionally, several terrorists were terminated near the hotel, where IDF forces discovered terrorist infrastructure.
