Israeli delegation arrives in Cairo to resume hostage talks
According to Egyptian sources cited by the Qatari publication Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed, an Israeli delegation arrived in Cairo on the evening of January 8 to resume negotiations on a deal involving the exchange of abducted hostages and prisoners with Hamas.
A source in Cairo informed the publication that the delegation included "high-ranking representatives of the Israeli security services."
The report highlights that Egypt has officially resumed its role as a mediator in the negotiations between Israel and Hamas.
