A 14-year-old resident of the Arab neighborhood in Jerusalem left a farewell letter near one of the houses in the Old City of Jerusalem, expressing her intention to become a "martyr" supporting the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas.

The police, aided by MAGAV border guards, apprehended the suspect in the Old Town after discovering the suspicious letter. The girl, found with photographs of terrorists during a search, admitted to planning a terrorist attack.

The letter was left near a Jewish house on a Chanukah lamp, attracting the attention of patrol officers who identified and detained the girl. She signed the letter with her name, adding the term "martyr."

Following interrogation, the suspect's detention was extended until January 12.
