In a positive update from Sheba Hospital, the renowned Israeli singer and actor Idan Amedi, actively involved in the Gaza Strip hostilities since October 7, has regained consciousness after sustaining serious wounds in a recent battle with terrorists.

Amedi, also recognized for his role as undercover agent Sagi Tzur in the TV series "Fauda," is a reservist soldier in the IDF engineering unit.

The day before, it was reported that Amedi had suffered extremely severe shrapnel wounds, prompting his evacuation by helicopter to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer. He was placed in a medically induced coma and connected to a ventilator, undergoing surgery before waking up recently.

Amedi, in a video published upon being deployed to the front, addressed the gravity of the situation: "This is not a scene from Fauda; this is real life. I wanted to tell you that apart from this darkness in which we have lost our dear people and friends, our morale is high. We understand why we are here - we are here to protect our children, our families, and our home."
