Gallant leaves war cabinet meeting amid conflict with Netanyahu
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant left a cabinet meeting on the war's conduct after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to allow Gallant's aide to participate, as reported by Kan news.
Kan's X-blog highlighted Gallant's frustration, pointing out that National Security Council advisers were granted access to the meeting.
Ynet also covered the Gallant-Netanyahu conflict. According to their sources, Gallant arrived a few minutes late, and his assistant was already in the hall.
When Netanyahu commented that he doesn't bring aides to meetings and believes others shouldn't either, Gallant argued that, being the only cabinet member linked to military operations, his assistant was crucial for implementing decisions in the civilian sphere and should be present. This led to the Defense Minister leaving the meeting along with a member of his office.
Approximately half an hour later, Kan news reported Gallant's return to the meeting room.
