IDF reports death of another soldier in Gaza
The IDF has reported that on January 12, Reserve Sergeant Dan Weidenbaum, 24, from Ra'anana, a member of the 5037th Battalion, 11thYiftach Brigade, lost his life in combat in the center of the Gaza Strip.
On the same day, in a battle in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, a reserve officer from the 7155th Battalion of the 55th Hod HaHanit Airborne Brigade suffered serious injuries.
In separate clashes on January 11 in the central Gaza Strip, a reserve soldier from the 646th Shualei Marom Brigade and an officer from the 605th Engineer Battalion of the 188th Barak Armored Brigade were also seriously wounded. The injured soldiers are currently in hospitals, and their families have been informed of the incidents.
Between October 31 and January 10, a total of 187 IDF soldiers lost their lives during the ground operation in Gaza.
Since October 7, a grim toll of 521 IDF soldiers have been killed in the Black Saturday terrorist attacks and the subsequent War of Iron Swords.
