The al-Qassam Brigades in Lebanon, part of Hamas's military wing, claimed responsibility for attempting to infiltrate Israeli territory in the Mount Dov area.
The Israeli armed forces subsequently neutralized the terrorists, followed by artillery shelling on the Lebanese territory from where they originated.
According to Palestinian sources, representatives of Hamas's military wing in Lebanon reported that a group of militants breached the separation fence in the Mount Dov area and clashed with Israeli patrols.
This operation is named "revenge for the murder of Saleh al-Arouri and a warning to Israel, demanding it cease aggression against the Gaza Strip."
Simultaneously, Hamas asserts that two militants from the group returned alive to their base, while three were killed.
