Israel's defense industry delays arms export, prioritizing IDF needs
Since the war began, Israeli defense companies have been delaying deliveries to foreign customers, prioritizing the production to meet the IDF's needs, according to Kalkalist News.
The postponed deliveries total an estimated $1.5 billion. Meanwhile, orders from the Israeli Ministry of Defense in the last three months have surpassed 10 billion shekels.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has triggered a renewed arms race, resulting in increased demand for Israeli defense products. Particularly, there is a high demand for developments in missile defense that have demonstrated high efficiency.
As an example, Finland has signed an agreement with Rafael for the supply of the David's Sling missile defense system, totalling 1.2 billion shekels. Additionally, the Aviation Industry will provide Germany with the Hetz-3 missile system in a deal valued at $3.5 billion.
