The IDF announced that on the night of January 15, soldiers from the 36th Ga'ash Armored Division completed their mission and left the Gaza Strip.
Over the course of 80 days, the division conducted operations in the areas of Zeytun, Shati, Sajaia, Rimal, and refugee camps in the central part of the strip.
The operations involved close coordination among armored, engineer, and infantry units, engaging in direct combat with the enemy while receiving artillery support.
Throughout the operation, the division successfully eliminated hundreds of terrorists and destroyed dozens of tunnel shafts, including tunnels spanning several kilometers.
Kan Bet radio reported that three divisions are continuing operations in the Gaza Strip.
