Terrorist organization 'Islamic Jihad' released a video featuring three Israeli hostages the previous day and then asked its Telegram channel subscribers to vote on three options: 1. All hostages died; 2. One was wounded, the rest were killed; 3. All hostages are alive. The correct answer was promised in the evening.

In a video published on the evening of January 15, Noa Argamani said that Itay Swirsky and Yosef Sharabi, who were held in the same building with her, were killed due to an IDF attack.

IDF spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, commented on the video, stating that information published by terrorists cannot be trusted.

He expressed serious concerns for the lives of Itay Swirski and another hostage, whose name the family requested not to be published.

"In recent days, IDF representatives have met with their families and said that the information we have received makes us fear for their lives," said Daniel Hagari.

Regarding the video released on January 15, Hagari mentioned that the army is studying it. He emphasized that contrary to the terrorists' statements, Itay Swirski did not die as a result of IDF actions.

"This is a Hamas lie. The building in which the hostages were held was not the target of the air force attack; it was not hit. We did not know their whereabouts in real time. We do not attack targets where there may be hostages," added Hagari.

"Looking back, we know that the strikes did not hit targets close to where the hostages were being held. We are investigating the incident."
