The IDF is actively conducting operations in Judea and Samaria, aimed at preventing new terrorist attacks.
According to Palestinian Authority sources, on the night of January 16, the Israeli military engaged in operations in and around Nablus (specifically in Beit Furik), Qalqilya, Hebron, Jericho, Ramallah, and its vicinity (including At-Tir, Beit Sira, and Nilin), as well as in Yaabad (southwest of Jenin), Jalbun (east of Jenin), and the village of Al Shawawra (east of Bethlehem).
Notably, there were reports of military operations on the premises of AlQuds Open University in Qalqilya, resulting in clashes and reported injuries on the Palestinian side. The exact number of detained suspects related to terrorism is currently under clarification.
The IDF has not yet issued an official comment on the events that transpired in Judea and Samaria on the night of January 16.
