During a meeting with reservists engaged in exercises in the Northern Military District, IDF Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi emphasized that "the likelihood of war in the north is higher than before."
Halevi highlighted the heightened significance of the exercises, especially since the IDF has enhanced its preparedness for conflict in Lebanon.
"We have drawn lessons from the Gaza conflict, and in Lebanon, we aim for one clear objective - ensuring all residents of the north can safely return to their homes," stated the Chief of Staff. He added that achieving this goal would necessitate a shift in the situation along the northern borders.
