On January 17th, IDF forces, along with the General Security Service (Shin Bet) and Border Police (MAGAV) officers, detained 26 suspected terrorists in Judea and Samaria. These detainees were handed over to Shin Bet investigators for questioning.

In Tulkarm, IDF forces engaged in armed clashes with local militants, resulting in the use of aviation to eliminate a group of militants who had fired at soldiers from the 636th Brigade.

According to Palestinian media, four militants were killed, and an IDF reservist was seriously wounded by gunfire and taken to the hospital. The operation in Tulkarm is ongoing.

In Bani Naim village, the homes of two terrorists responsible for the Ra'anana attack were marked for demolition.

In Beit 'Anan village, fighters from the Benjamin Brigade confiscated equipment and sealed a printing house that produced propaganda materials for the terrorist organization Hamas.

Previously, the IDF reported the elimination of a group of terrorists in Balata (Nablus), with the Palestinian side confirming the deaths of five militants.

Since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, approximately 2,700 terror suspects have been detained in the Palestinian Authority, with more than 1,300 of them associated with Hamas.
