IDF operations in Judea and Samaria on January 17
The IDF are continuing operations in Judea and Samaria to prevent new terrorist attacks.
According to Palestinian Authority sources, on the night of January 17th, the Israeli military conducted operations in several areas including Nablus, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, and Azzun (east of Qalqilya), as well as in Jalazone and Deir Amar (near Ramallah), Daeishe (near Bethlehem), and Idna (near Hebron). Border police conducted an operation in al-Eizariya, east of Jerusalem.
Palestinian sources reported that the Israeli military used an unmanned aircraft to strike a car carrying militants in the Balata camp area. There were reports of casualties, with allegations that ambulances were initially denied access to the site. However, later reports indicated that the bodies of the deceased or injured were taken to Rafidia hospital.
The exact number of terrorist suspects detained during these operations is currently being clarified.
As of now, the IDF has not provided official comments regarding the events that transpired in Judea and Samaria on the night of January 17th.
