The IDF reports the death of two more soldiers
On Wednesday, January 17, the IDF reported the loss of two soldiers, one during fighting in the southern Gaza Strip and another in a central Israel accident. Their names have been released.
Staff Sergeant Oriya Ayimalk Goshen, 21, from Jerusalem, a member of the Givati Brigade, was killed in action in the southern Gaza Strip.
Reserve Ensign Anwar Serhan, 26, from Hurfeish, a member of the 910th Battalion of the Etzion Brigade, died in a car accident in central Israel.
Additionally, in the battle where Staff Sergeant Oriya Ayimalk Goshen lost his life, a Givati soldier and officer sustained serious injuries.
In the accident resulting in Anwar Serhan's death, a reserve soldier of the 910th battalion of the Etzion brigade was seriously injured.
The wounded have been transported to hospitals, and their families have been informed of the incident.
Between October 31 and January 17, 194 IDF soldiers lost their lives during the ground operation in Gaza.
Since October 7, a total of 528 IDF soldiers have been killed, including the Black Saturday terrorist attacks and the subsequent War of Iron Swords.
