IDF reports death of soldier wounded in Southern Gaza battle

The IDF reports that Staff Sergeant Ori Jerbi, 20, from Herzliya, a Givati Brigade reconnaissance soldier who was seriously wounded in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip on January 17, passed away in the hospital on January 18.

Additionally, over the past 24 hours, three Israeli soldiers were seriously wounded in battles in Gaza: a reservist from the 6646th battalion of the 646th "Shualei Marom" brigade, a reservist from the 7810th battalion of the 11th "Iftah" brigade, and a reservist from the 87th battalion of the 14th brigade "Mahatz."

Since October 31, a total of 194 IDF soldiers have been killed during the ground operation in Gaza.

Since October 7, the Black Saturday terrorist attacks and the subsequent War of the Iron Swords have resulted in the deaths of 530 IDF soldiers.
