Hamas demands international guarantees to maintain in power

In a broadcast of the Hadashot Sof HaShavua program on Keshet-12 TV, Hamas revealed its demands for initiating talks on a potential hostage and prisoner exchange deal with Israel.

According to the TV channel, Hamas conveyed the following demands through negotiation mediators:

  • Halting all hostilities in the Gaza Strip, with the condition that they do not resume after the deal is finalized.
  • Immediate withdrawal of IDF forces from the Gaza Strip.
  • International guarantees ensuring Hamas remains in power in the Gaza Strip post-war.

Hamas also aims to conduct the exchange of hostages and prisoners in small quantities to prevent the IDF from resuming operations in the near future.
