IDF reports the death of three officers in battle in Southern Gaza
On Monday, January 22, the IDF reported the deaths of three officers in battles in the southern Gaza Strip, identifying them as follows:
Major David Nati Alfasi, 27, from Beersheba, deputy commander of the 202nd battalion of the Tzanhanim brigade.
Major Eli Levy, 24 years old, from Tel Aviv, company commander of the 202nd battalion of the Tzanhanim brigade.
Captain Eyal Mevorach Twito, 22, from Beit Gamliel, platoon leader of the 202nd Battalion of the Tzanhanim Brigade.
In the same battle, another soldier from the Tzanhanim brigade and two soldiers from the 606th engineer battalion of the Saar mi-Golan division were also seriously wounded.
From October 31 to January 22, a total of 198 IDF soldiers have been killed during the ground operation in Gaza.
Since October 7, 528 IDF soldiers have lost their lives in the Black Saturday terrorist attacks and the subsequent War of Iron Swords.
