The IDF has released the names of four additional soldiers who lost their lives on January 22 during combat in the Gaza Strip.

Reserve Sergeant Major Itamar Tal, 32 year old from Kibbutz Mesilot, served in the 6261st Battalion, 261st Brigade, fell in the line of duty during combat operations in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reserve Petty Officer Adam Bismuth, 35 year old from Karnei Shomron and a member of the 6261st Battalion, 261st Brigade, lost his life in action in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reserve Sergeant Major Shai Biton Hayun, 40 years old from Zichron Yaakov, a member of the 8208th Battalion, 261st Brigade, was killed in action in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reserve Petty Officer Zegeye Daniel Kasau, 38 years old from Yokneam Illit, a member of the 8208th Battalion, 261st Brigade, lost his life in action in the southern Gaza Strip.

Earlier, the IDF released the names of 17 Israeli soldiers who died on January 22 during combat in the Gaza Strip.

Reserve Sergeant Major Ahmad Abu Latif, 26, from Rahat and a member of the 8208th Battalion, 261st Brigade, was killed in action in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reserve Captain Nir Binyamin, 29, from Givatayim, an officer in the 8208th Battalion of the 261st Brigade, was killed in action in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reserve Sergeant Major Elkana Wiesel, 35, from Bnei Dekalim, a member of the 8208th Battalion in the 261st Brigade, was killed in action in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reserve Petty Officer Israel Sokol, 24, from Karnei Shomron, a member of the 8208th Battalion in the 261st Brigade, was killed in action in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reserve Captain Ariel Mordechai Wolfsthal, 28, from Elazar, an officer of the 9206th Battalion in the 205th Brigade, fell in action in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reserve Petty Officer Sagi Idan, 24, from Rosh HaAyin, a member of the 8208th Battalion in the 261st Brigade, was killed in action in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reserve Sergeant Major Mark Kononovich, 35, from Herzliya, a member of the 8208th Battalion in the 261st Brigade, fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Reserve Sergeant Major Matan Lazar, 32 year old from Haifa, served as a soldier in the 6261st battalion of the 261st brigade.

Reserve Sergeant Major Adar Kupelik, 23 year old from Mevo Beitar, held the position of squad leader in the 8208th battalion of the 261st brigade.

Reserve Sergeant Major Sergei Gontmakher, 37 year old from Ramat Gan, served as a soldier in the 8208th battalion of the 261st brigade.

Reserve Sergeant Major Elkana Yehuda Sfez, 25 year old from Kiryat Arba, served as a fighter in the 8208th battalion of the 261st brigade.

Reserve Sergeant Yuval Lopez, 27 year old from the settlement of Alon Shvut, served as a soldier in the 9206th battalion of the 205th brigade.

Reserve Sergeant Major Yoav Levi, 29 year old from Yehud-Monosson, served as a soldier in the 8208th battalion of the 261st brigade.

Reserve Sergeant Major Nicholas Berger, 22 year old from Jerusalem, was a member of the 8208th Battalion, 261st Brigade.

Reserve Sergeant Major Cedric Garin, 23 year old from Tel Aviv, served as a fighter in the 8208th battalion of the 261st brigade.

Reserve Sergeant Major Rafael Elias Mosheyof, 33 year old from Pardes Hanna-Karkur, served as a soldier in the 6261st battalion of the 261st brigade.

Reserve Sergeant Major Barak Haim Ben Walid, 33 year old from Rishon Lezion, held the position of squad leader in the 6261st Battalion of the 261st Brigade.

According to reports, one soldier from the 9206th Battalion of the 205th Brigade was seriously injured in the incident.

The names of four additional victims will be released later.

The tragedy unfolded when RPGs fired by terrorists struck buildings undergoing preparation for demolition, which housed numerous military personnel, along with a nearby tank. It is reported that civilian specialists from the fire and emergency services were summoned to the site to clear the rubble.

On January 22, the IDF reported the deaths of three officers in battles in the southern Gaza Strip. Their names have been disclosed.

Major David Nati Alfasi, 27, from Beersheba, served as the deputy commander of the 202nd battalion of the Tsanhanim brigade.

Major Eli Levy, 24 years old, from Tel Aviv, was the company commander in the 202nd battalion of the Tsanhanim brigade.

Captain Eyal Mevorach Twito, 22, from Beit Gamliel, served as the platoon leader of the 202nd Battalion of the Tzanhanim Brigade.

From October 31 to January 23, a total of 221 IDF soldiers lost their lives during the ground operation in Gaza.

Since October 7, a total of 556 IDF soldiers have been killed in the Black Saturday terrorist attacks and the subsequent War of Iron Swords.
