Reports indicated clashes in the Tuffah and Daraj areas northeast of Gaza City.
Sources in Gaza reported that the IDF shelled Rafah in the southern part of the sector, with strikes targeting the western coastal outskirts of the city. There were also reports of intense artillery shelling in Khan Younis in the south of the Strip and al-Maghazi in the center of the Strip.
Additionally, it was reported that the IDF struck the home of the Karadja family in Nuseirat, in the center of the sector, resulting in injuries.
As of now, the IDF has not provided comments regarding the military actions in Gaza on January 2.
