The IDF says that on Saturday, February 3, Sgt. First Class (res.) Shimon Yehoshua Asulin,24, was killed in battle in the southern Gaza sector.
The army says Asulin was a fighter in the 924th Engineering Battalion of the Harel Brigade. He was from Beit Shemesh.
From October 31 to February 4, 225 IDF soldiers were killed in Israel's ground operation in Gaza.
Since October 7, a total of 561 IDF soldiers have been killed, including in the Black Saturday terrorist attack and during the ensuing Operation Swords of Iron in Gaza.
