Hamas claims Palestinian journalist was shot by IDF

Hamas' Palestinian Information Center reported the shooting of "journalist" Yasser Mamdouh by an Israeli sniper in Khan Younis, near Nasser Hospital, in southern Gaza.

Yasser Mamdouh was identified as a "correspondent for the Kanaan news agency."

The Kanaan Agency indeed exists, primarily serving as a platform for propaganda materials from terrorist organizations like Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Established in 2018, the agency operates a YouTube channel that has yet to be shut down by Alphabet (Google), its parent company. Shortly after the onset of the Iron Swords War, kanannews.net was hacked.
