The IDF announced that two Israeli Special Forces soldiers were killed in action in the Gaza Strip on February 11. The Times of Israel points out that they were not killed in the rescue operation of Fernando Marman and Louis Har, in which there were no fatalities.
Sgt. First Class Adi Eldor, 21, and Sgt. First Class (res.) Alon Kleinman, 21 were killed in the southern Gaza Strip. Eldor was from Haifa, while Kleinman was from Tel Aviv. They both served in the elite Maglan unit.
Additionally, two Maglan special forces fighters were seriously injured in the battle in southern Gaza.
It has also been reported that a reservist from the 460th Brigade was seriously injured in a transportation accident.
