Hamas commander detained in Jenin; two IDF soldiers wounded
Special forces soldiers from the border police, employees of the General Security Service (Shin Bet), and IDF reservists conducted an operation in Jenin, resulting in the arrest of Umar Fayed, one of the leaders of the militants of the terrorist organization Hamas.
Official reports indicate that Fayed was responsible for orchestrating a series of armed attacks on the military and was planning additional assaults.
During the operation, a shootout occurred, resulting in two Israeli fighters sustaining minor injuries. They were promptly transported to the hospital for treatment.
