IDF: Relatives of Hamas leader Sinwar are detained and provide important information

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari commented on the video showing Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar with his wife and children in the tunnels of Khan Yunis. "Our mission is to capture Sinwar dead or alive. We will not disclose when or how this will happen. But we are determined to do it," he said.

He emphasized that the IDF continues to capture terrorists, interrogate them, and gather new intelligence as a result. Hagari also said that troops detained close relatives of senior Hamas military commanders and of Sinwar and now provide valuable information.

Earlier, the IDF spokesperson's office released a video of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and his family in the tunnels of Khan Younis. The footage was recorded three days after the start of the war. Israeli leadership debated for a few hours whether it was reasonable to release this recording.
