Middle East Eye says India has begun delivering Hermes 900 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to Israel. The drones are capable of performing both reconnaissance missions and aerial bombardments.
According to the website, drones have become one of the mainstays of the Israeli military during its ongoing assault in the Gaza Strip. American reconnaissance UAVs are also present in the sector's airspace.
On 2 February, Shephard Media reported that Israel had taken delivery of 20 Indian-made Hermes 900 drones from Adani-Elbit Advanced Systems India Ltd. The IDF spokesperson's office redirected the request to the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
