The Israel Defense Forces have launched attacks on rocket launch sites in southern Lebanon in retaliation for the shelling of the Upper Galilee area from Lebanese territory.
The IDF has confirmed that several rockets fell on the territory of an Israeli military base.
As a result of the rocket attack in Safed, one woman was killed, and eight people were injured. One person is in serious condtiin, three of the injured are in moderate condition, while the others sustained minor injuries. The injured have been transported to Ziv Hospital in Safed.
Rocket sirens sounded in other populated areas of Upper Galilee.
