A spontaneous protest is underway on Aza Street in Jerusalem near the Netanyahu family home. The protest was sparked by reports of the suspension of negotiations with Hamas regarding the release of hostages.
Protesters, accompanied by drums and loudspeakers, are urging the Israeli government to continue negotiations with Hamas, insisting on the release of hostages under any conditions.
Earlier, it was revealed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided against Israel's participation in the second round of negotiations for a deal with Hamas, scheduled for February 15 in Cairo.
Despite Cairo's mediation request for Israel to send a delegation, the Prime Minister's Office explained that Israel hadn't received any new proposals from Hamas regarding the release of hostages.
Netanyahu emphasized that Israel wouldn't yield to Hamas's unreasonable demands, stating that a change in Hamas's stance would facilitate progress in negotiations.
